Eric Carlson

Eric has worked as a field archaeologist and illustrator throughout the Western and Southwestern United states as well as Alaska, Montana, Hawaii and overseas. His research interests lie in the study of diachronic change in early sedentary precontact communities. In addition to fieldwork and report writing, he completes a variety of illustration projects for Desert that include artifact renderings, museum exhibit displays, interpretative signs, and teaches illustration workshops. He spends as much time as he can hiking and running in the mountains.
