Kathleen Bubnekovich

Katie first began with Desert as a member of the Honeybee Archaeology field crew in 2006. She joined the full-time staff in 2020, taking on the roles of crew chief and field registrar. When she’s not in the field monitoring (I-10 is her second home), surveying, or assisting with testing and data recovery, she can often be found at the Arizona State Museum’s Archaeological Records Office conducting background research. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her cats and horse, reading, and getting out and exploring Tucson.
