Ted Oliver
Database & IT Services
Ted helps Desert staff with computing problems and manages all aspects of Desert’s Oracle database infrastructure including designing and developing applications used for data collection in the field, project management, field forms, collections management, artifact analyses, and research. He also serves as IT director managing our network, servers and mobile devices. In his early career, he was a field archaeologist with experience in the northern plains, Four Corners and central and northern Arizona, especially on the Roosevelt Platform Mound Study. Besides computers, networks, sql and text editors, Ted enjoys desert plants, especially cacti, euphorbias and pollinator-drawing flowering perennials.
